Home / Our story Our story In 1986, Dr. Francis Jean opened his first optometry practice in his hometown of Baie-Comeau, with a focus on offering quality eye care, services and products. He later founded the buying group Visual Group, inviting optometrists who shared his values to join him, leading to the creation of IRIS in 1990.
