Essencia Organic Castor Oil is a single-ingredient vegetable oil made from the seeds of Ricinus communis. Each 100 ml bottle contains pure organic castor oil only, with no additives or preservatives, so it fits easily into a simple, ingredient-conscious routine for skin, hair, scalp and nails.

Our vegetable oils are extracted mechanically and pressed without chemical solvents. Castor oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, including omega-6 and omega-9, and contains oleic, linoleic and ricinoleic acid. Ricinoleic acid is a fatty acid that is relatively unique to castor oil and a key reason it appears in so many skin care products. The oil also contains vitamin E, minerals and proteins.

For hair and scalp, warm a few drops between your palms and work them through the lengths and onto the scalp, then style or rinse as usual. For skin, smooth a small amount over dry areas such as elbows, heels and knees, or massage it into nails and cuticles to keep them soft.
