Athena | Juicy Spinel Ring

A bold, hand-engraved ring built around a luminous pear-cut spinel.
The Athena ring by K&Co Bespoke revisits a fan-favourite silhouette with a richer, more sculptural presence. A 1.5ct spinel is bezel-set in chunky, buttery 14k yellow gold, giving the piece a grounded, confident energy.

The east-west setting highlights the stone’s glow—spinel is known for its vitreous lustre and incredible performance in low light. With a hardness of 8, it’s durable enough for everyday wear, making it a compelling alternative to sapphire with a more accessible price point. Larger-cut facets bring a soft, vintage-inspired feel to the otherwise contemporary structure.

Hand engraving completes the piece with thoughtful detail: millegrain around the bezel, an engraved basket, and fine ray-like engravings that extend down the band.
