District 9 (4K-UHD)

Alien refugees stranded on Earth for two decades live in a Johannesburg slum called District 9, managed by a hapless bureaucrat who is accidentally exposed to alien biotechnology and begins a terrifying transformation. Neill Blomkamp's Oscar-nominated debut is a visceral, politically charged sci-fi thriller — made on a modest budget with found-footage energy — that remains one of the most inventive genre films of its decade.
