Animal Kingdom (Blu-ray)

A 17-year-old boy moves in with his criminal Melbourne family after his mother's death, and is gradually pulled into their violent world as a ruthless detective closes in and allegiances begin to fracture. David Michôd's debut feature is a masterwork of slow-burn tension — the most impressive Australian crime film since Romper Stomper, with a chilling performance by Jacki Weaver.
