The Holdovers (Blu-ray/DVD Combo)

A curmudgeonly history teacher (Paul Giamatti) at a New England prep school is forced to babysit the handful of students who can't go home for Christmas break in 1970, including a resentful, brilliant student (Dominic Sessa) and the school's head cook (Da'Vine Joy Randolph, in her Oscar-winning performance). Alexander Payne's warm, expertly crafted comedy-drama — shot to look like a film from the era it depicts — is one of the finest feel-good films in years. Blu-ray/DVD Combo.
