Vintage Quebec Maple Leaf Iron Tray, Au Fer Forge, Canada.
Authentic vintage handcrafted maple leaf tray by Au Fer Forge of Saint-Césaire, Quebec. This striking piece of Canadian artisan metalwork features a sculptural maple leaf form hand-shaped from forged steel with a rich flame-treated patina in bronze, copper, and black tones.
Produced during the height of Quebec’s mid-century craft movement, the tray displays beautiful hand-worked texture, raised leaf veining, and a distinctive brutalist aesthetic. Originally marketed as a decorative ashtray or catchall, it works equally well today as a centerpiece, vide-poche, key tray, or rustic Canadian décor accent.
The original Au Fer Forge maker’s label remains present on the underside, confirming its Quebec origin. A wonderful example of Canadian blacksmithing and folk-art craftsmanship.
