Celadon Porcelain Wash Set – Hand-Painted Children, Vintage Replica Unconfirmed

Two-piece celadon porcelain bedroom wash set comprising a large water pitcher and covered chamber pot. The set is decorated with hand-painted children, Japanese fan motifs and gold-gilt accents.

The pieces are marked “M.A.P.,” believed to be the decorator’s initials. The illustrations are reminiscent of Kate Greenaway’s work, but no direct attribution has been confirmed.

The exact age and origin are uncertain. While the style and wear may suggest an older piece, we cannot verify that this set dates from circa 1890–1915 or confirm that it is antique rather than a later vintage reproduction or replica. It is therefore offered as antique-style or vintage porcelain, with age unconfirmed.

Condition
Good used condition with wear to the gilding, scratches, surface marks and base wear. No obvious major chips or cracks are visible. Please review all photos carefully. Because age and authenticity have not been confirmed, buyers should rely on the photographs, description and condition details when evaluating the set.
