Jorge Castillo 1958 Surrealist Ink & Wash Drawing, Signed.

Original surrealist ink and wash artwork attributed to Spanish artist Jorge Castillo, signed and dated 1988 in the upper-right corner.

This striking composition features a grotesque hybrid creature confronting a childlike figure within a sparse architectural landscape, rendered in Castillo’s re0cognizable crosshatched linear style. The work demonstrates strong similarities to the artist’s late-1980s figurative and psychological surrealist works on paper.

Executed with expressive black ink linework and muted tonal washes in pink, rust, and blue. Mounted on presentation board and sold unframed.

Jorge Castillo is an internationally recognized Spanish surrealist painter, sculptor, and graphic artist associated with postwar European surrealism and neo-expressionist figuration.

Condition:
Good vintage condition overall. Artwork retains strong visual contrast and color. Mounting board shows age toning, corner wear, edge wear, tape residue, and handling marks. Minor crease/loss near signature area. Sold as found. Please review photos carefully.
