Description

The North Face Freedom Insulated pants are built for young riders aged 7 to 14 who spend full days on the mountain. Whether they're hitting groomers, playing in the trees or lapping the park, this pant delivers reliable protection and comfort from first chair to last run.

The two-layer DryVent™ shell — made from 100% recycled polyester with a non-PFC DWR finish — keeps wet snow and wind out while staying breathable. Inside, 80 g Heatseeker™ synthetic insulation (90% post-consumer recycled polyester) adds lightweight warmth without the bulk. The relaxed regular fit moves freely with them, and the adjustable waistband with zip fly and snap closure keeps everything dialed in. Reinforced nylon kickpatches protect the hem and inner leg where wear matters most, and integrated leg gaiters seal out snow at the boot. Multiple zipped hand pockets handle snacks, goggles and whatever else the day calls for.

Who it's for

The Freedom Insulated is the right call for active kids who ride hard regardless of conditions. The Good to Grow system adds up to 5 cm of length, making it a smart buy that keeps up with growing riders over more than one season. If your child is the last one off the hill, this pant is built for them.

FAQ
  • Is this pant fully waterproof? Yes — the seam-sealed DryVent™ fabric is engineered to be waterproof and windproof, with a non-PFC durable water-repellent finish on both the shell and lining.
  • How does the Good to Grow system work? Hidden fabric at the hem can be let out to extend the leg length by up to 5 cm, giving you extra life out of the pant as your child grows.
