Burton GORE-TEX [ak]® Swash Down Insulated 2027 – Insulated Jacket
The Burton GORE-TEX [ak]® Swash Down Insulated is the brand's heaviest-hitting storm jacket — a backcountry-ready shell built for riders who venture out in the worst conditions winter can throw at them. Combining the protection of a certified waterproof membrane with genuine down warmth, it's designed for full days in the mountains, not just lift laps.
Constructed with a GORE-TEX 2L recycled nylon ripstop shell and lined with a Pertex® lightweight 20D recycled nylon ripstop down-proof fabric, the jacket houses 800-fill down insulation that maximizes heat retention without bulk. The regular fit uses articulated patterning to keep movement natural and unrestricted. Crossflow Venting™ — through zippered side body and sleeve vents — handles heat management on the go, while the drop-down convertible hood, ergonomic zip-out waist gaiter with jacket-to-pant interface, shaped cuffs, and fully taped seams complete an [ak]-level feature set built around riding efficiency. YKK® water-resistant zippers, a RECCO® reflector, and a PFAS-free membrane and DWR round out the technical package. Backed by a lifetime warranty.
Who It's ForThis is the jacket for the rider who pushes into the backcountry or charges through storms that send everyone else to the lodge. The down insulation and GORE-TEX 2L membrane make it uniquely suited to cold, wet, high-output days where warmth and weatherproofing both have to perform. If your season involves long cold approaches, variable weather, and zero tolerance for gear fuss, the Swash Down delivers.
FAQ- Is this jacket compatible with Burton pants for a sealed waist interface? Yes — the ergonomic zip-out waist gaiter is designed with a jacket-to-pant interface for a connected, draft-free fit with compatible Burton pants.
