The name says it all - DROPS Air is vanishingly light despite knitting up at worsted gauges. All the warmth without the weight!

Launched in 2014, DROPS Air is now a firmly established favourite, and one of our best-selling yarns.

Air is called a 'blow' yarn; instead of spinning, the fibres of alpaca and merino are air blown into a tube, which makes the garments knit with this yarn about 30-35% lighter than those made with conventional spun yarns of the same thickness.

We recommend this yarn to knitters and crocheters of all skill levels, even beginners, thanks to its next-to-skin softness and excellent value - natural fibres at this price point are hard to find! We love the wide ranging and heathered palette, and we find this yarn wears well over time, developing a fuzzy, haloed look, rather than pilling.
