Soren and the Sheriff's Star - God is Sovereign: The Essence of God, #4

In Soren and the Sheriff's Star, Soren discovers an old family sheriff's badge that once belonged to his great-great-grandfather. The verse engraved on it leads Grandpa Eli to teach him about God's sovereignty — that God is the highest King who rules over everything with perfect wisdom and love.

When Soren grows impatient on a family beach trip and disobeys his mom's rule, a powerful wave sweeps him off his feet and puts him in danger. After his dad rescues him, Soren sits quietly on the cabin porch at sunset, feeling scared and sorry. Grandpa joins him, holds up the old sheriff's star, and tells the story of King Nebuchadnezzar — a proud ruler who had to learn that God alone is the true King of kings.

Through Soren's adventure and the Bible story, children ages 7–12 learn that God's rules (and the authorities He places in our lives) are for our good. Even when life feels scary or unfair, we can trust the God who is always in control.

This is Book 4 in The Essence of God series.
