Night Game

Sofia, Leo, Maya, and Ben live for soccer, but the big stadium lights have never been turned on for kids like them. Then one evening, everything changes. A neighborhood power outage plunges the streets into darkness-yet the stadium is glowing green and bright.

Through a loose fence panel, the friends step into a magical world where the grass shimmers like emeralds, the field lines seem to hum, and an old soccer ball catches the light and leaves a glowing trail like a comet. With Leo's dog Rufus as their eager goalkeeper, the friends play without coaches, scoreboards, or rules. Fireflies arrive to put on the best halftime show ever. Giant shadows stretch across the fence. And when the lights finally buzz and flicker off, Sofia realizes the score was never the point at all.

Even when the fence is fixed the next day, the friends know their night game was only the beginning. Because the best game isn't about winning-it's about playing together under the stars.
