No Mercy

A gripping British coastal murder mystery featuring a framed investigator, a trail of suspicious suicides, and a ruthless killer with a dark agenda.

How far would you go to correct a past injustice?

Did highway inspector Derek Forster take his own life after the death of his wife? If so, why had he booked his dog for grooming the following week?

Was restaurateur Samson Capote, brutally attacked and left to die in his deep freezer, the victim of too many grudges. Or was he connected to Forster's secret lover?

And when millionaire entrepreneur Clive Chesterton falls into Sovereign Harbour and drowns during a party aboard his yacht, why are Forster's missing journals found in his cabin?

These unanswered questions draw environmental health officer Kent Fisher into an investigation that grows more troubling by the day. But when Kent himself becomes a murder suspect, it's clear he's facing a killer who shows no mercy.

Unless he can uncover the link between the deaths and identify the truth behind them, Kent risks becoming the fourth victim.

Set against the marina waters of Sovereign Harbour and the rolling landscapes of Sussex, No Mercy is the fifth standalone thriller in the acclaimed British Downland Murder Mystery series. Blending the high-stakes suspense of a "wrongly accused" procedural with classic crime humour, this atmospheric novel is a must-read for fans of Elly Griffiths' Ruth Galloway series, Ann Cleeves' coastal mysteries, and Richard Osman.

Features Kent's ongoing struggle to clear his name while managing his local animal sanctuary alongside his trusty Westie, Columbo.

A traditional British murder mystery, featuring a carefully concealed crime, a killer with a ruthless sense of justice, and an investigator determined to uncover the truth.
