Clancy: A Gift of Christmas Story
With The Gift of Christmas approaching, Cameltown is bursting with excitement. The camels are anxiously awaiting the moment when Mayor Camello announces who will appear in the beloved Christmas show. Every camel dreams of being a part of the show. Every camel except Clancy.
Clancy is a timid young camel whose mountain of insecurities lead him to believe he is unworthy of such an honor. When the mayor draws Clancy's name from the hat, a fearful Clancy builds up the courage to tell the mayor that he's not the right camel for the job. Through a nervous, heart-melting rhyme, Clancy pours out his feelings, detailing why his clumsy gallop and crooked teeth should disqualify him from appearing in such an esteemed show.
Acknowledging Clancy's concerns, the mayor encourages him to pray through his fears before rejecting his role in the show. Clancy reluctantly opens his heart and confesses his fears to the Lord. Soon his eyes are opened to see that God delights in using us, in spite of our flaws, for His glory. But there is just one problem: the train leaves for the show any minute. Can Clancy's clumsy camel legs get him to the station before the train leaves for The Gift of Christmas?
Filled with vibrant characters and engaging rhyming language, Clancy is a heartwarming read-aloud storybook for children of all ages. Clancy teaches children that when we cast our burdens on the Lord, He gives us the strength to navigate our fears and insecurities with confidence.
