Canyon Blackout: A Mason Ryker Thriller

Ex-special operations soldier Mason Ryker takes a contract no one else wants: find out what happened to a military convoy that vanished without a trace in the depths of Arizona's backcountry. Teaming up with sharp, relentless investigative journalist Claire Voss, he digs into a case that quickly turns into something far bigger than a routine disappearance. The trail leads underground, into a forgotten maze of Cold War-era tunnels now controlled by a heavily armed criminal syndicate.

At the center of it all is Victor Sloane, a cold and calculating crime boss with a plan that goes far beyond smuggling. Sloane has his hands on a prototype electromagnetic device built to knock out an entire state's power grid, and he intends to sell it to the highest bidder before anyone can stop him. While Mason and Claire fight their way through collapsing shafts, hidden chambers, and a syndicate that shoots first, cybersecurity specialist Elias Crowe works from the outside to crack the encrypted network holding the operation together.

With a violent sandstorm bearing down on the canyon and the clock running out, Mason and Claire have one chance to bring Sloane's operation down before his weapon disappears into the desert for good.
