The Girl Who Dropped Salt From The Sky: The Power of Determination and Hope

When Soni is a little girl growing up in a small village in Kenya, her father tells her something she will never forget: “ One day, you will drop salt from the sky.” The words seem impossible. How could anyone drop salt from the sky? As Soni grows older, those words stay with her, encouraging her to dream beyond what she can see while never forgetting the people and place she calls home. Through determination, education, and perseverance, Soni begins a journey that changes her life— and eventually allows her to give back to the community that believed in her from the very beginning. Set against the beautiful landscapes of eastern and central Kenya, The Girl Who Dropped Salt From The Sky is an inspiring picture book that celebrates family, hope, generosity, and the power of dreams. It reminds young readers that even the most impossible dreams can become reality through hard work, compassion, and a desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
