The Wholeness of a Part

The Wholeness of a Part

How can a part be whole? What if a whole is simply a part?

"The Wholeness of a Part" is a collection of thirty-three reflective, playful, and inquiring passages, taking the reader on a journey from where parts and wholes seem distinct, through perceiving what makes a part or a whole, and finally to the wonder of where parts and wholes begin and end.

Some passages are born from captured moments in living. Others unfold from contemplation on words drawn from various fields of study. Together, they turn ordinary, unexpected language into frames for how one may discern fragments and completion through an open, inquisitive lens.

The audience watches

Enraptured.

The performer plays

Embodied.

Expression flows

From the performer

To the audience.

Attention flows

From the audience

To the performer.

Both parts merge

To form

The whole of experience.

This collection stands on its own. It also shares a thread with Dr. Nicole Lee's earlier work, "Seeing the Same Thing in a Different Light", both offering oblique perspectives on seemingly familiar language.

About Dr. Nicole Lee:

Dr. Nicole Lee is the founder of The Consciousness Centre in Singapore. A former physician and certified regression therapist, she spent fifteen years in medical practice across the full arc of human life before transitioning to support individuals navigating the deeper dimensions of healing and consciousness.

Alongside her writing and publishing work, she offers Recognition & Orientation sessions online worldwide for those who have lived through long phases of inner or healing work and sense they may be at a natural turning point from healing to living.

Through her years in medicine, therapeutic work, writing, mothering, and the rhythms of daily life, Nicole came to see that healing does not culminate in perfection or transcendence, but in balance and presence within living. Her attention has shifted from extracting meaning from suffering and healing to allowing meaning to arise naturally from living itself.

Her current work as an author, publisher, and Healing to Living Practitioner supports others in recognising and inhabiting what comes after a similar transition to the one she once lived through.

"The Wholeness of a Part" is her eighth book, and the fourth of the Lupint House books, works that invite the subconscious into conversation with the conscious mind.
