Through Window into the woods

Through the Window into the Woods is a story about fear, belonging, courage, and the quiet ways in which people become one another's shelter.

At three years old, Sandhya survives a devastating encounter in the forests of Mudumalai that takes her parents from her. She finds refuge at the home of Vasanth, a compassionate lawyer who has devoted his life to serving the tribal communities around him. Alongside Anjamma, the woman who quietly holds Vasanth's home and heart together, he gives Sandhya something she has almost forgotten how to trust—safety.

But when Vasanth disappears deep inside the forest while investigating suspicious activity, Sandhya is forced to confront the place she has feared since childhood.

With her friends Raghav and Sriram, she returns to the wilderness. There, beyond the familiar trails, she encounters an ancient and mysterious presence—a Siddhar who seems to understand the forest, the human mind, and the wounds that people carry within themselves.

What begins as a search for a missing man becomes something far deeper: a journey into memory, fear, faith, and self-discovery.

Through the Window into the Woods is ultimately a story about how healing does not erase the past. Sometimes, it teaches us how to walk through it without running away.
