NUCLEAR SILENCE
Six years after nuclear war, Great Britain is little more than a shadow of the country it once was.
The sky is the colour of ash. Cities have fallen silent. Roads are being swallowed by nature. Forests have become hostile, and meeting another human being is more likely to bring danger than rescue.
Luke has lived alone in the Lake District for years. He survived everything the war took from him — his home, the old world, and the woman whose voice still returns to him in dreams. He no longer looks for a future. He no longer waits for a miracle. Each day is simply another day to survive.
Until one morning, he witnesses the brutal murder of a boy.
Before he dies, the boy speaks of a place beyond the English Channel. Of France. Of Belgium. Of people who may have survived. To Luke, those words mean more than a rumour. They are the first real lead in years. The first possibility that somewhere, beyond the ruined world, his brother may still be alive.
And Luke makes a decision.
He leaves the only shelter he has left and sets out across the ruins of Great Britain — through dead cities, abandoned roads, tunnels, hunger, fear, and people who have learned to survive at any cost.
He is not seeking glory.
He is not trying to save the world.
He is searching for the last person who might still connect him to the man he once was.
Nuclear Silence is a raw, emotional post-apocalyptic novel about loneliness, loss, loyalty, and hope that comes not when the world becomes better, but when a person chooses to take one more step despite everything.
