The ungrateful child

Set in the riverine community of Otu, an orphan named Omanla is raised with exceptional care, education, and skills by his uncle Efe, a revered warrior. However, as Omanla grows wealthy, he turns bitter and arrogant, terrorizing the village and turning against the uncle who cared for him. Backed by Chief Kokori,a traitorous cabinet member who acts as his secret informant, Omanla enforces an iron grip over Otu, silencing any defiance with violence. Seeking deliverance, the King secretly brings in two legendary wise men, Anyaragbo and Otigbo. Although Omanla plans to ambush them, the wise men operate undetected and devise a plan with the King. The King tricks Omanla into attending a public assembly under the guise of honoring him. During the event, Efe delivers a powerful prayer cursing the evil in the land, triggering a divine force that forces Omanla, Kokori, and their mercenaries to their knees in agony to confess their crimes. Exposed and defeated, Omanla and his conspirators are banished forever, finally restoring peace to Otu.
