Jesus Took the Taste Away Freedom from Addiction

INTRODUCTION

The Reality of Bondage and the Possibility of Instant Freedom

Addiction is more than a chemical dependency or a behavioral pattern. It is a form of bondage that

captures the will, distorts the mind, and isolates the spirit. Individuals who struggle with addiction

frequently describe a dual existence: an outer life that attempts to maintain normalcy and an inner life

dominated by craving, secrecy, and growing despair. Conventional approaches—medical treatment,

counseling, support groups, and rigorous self-discipline—have helped countless people manage their

addiction. Yet many remain in a state of continuous warfare against a desire that never fully departs.

This book presents a different testimony. It records the experiences of men and women who

encountered the living Jesus Christ in such a way that the very taste—the craving, the desire, the mental

obsession—was removed. In many of these accounts the deliverance was instantaneous. The individual

prayed in desperation, surrendered completely, and discovered that the substance or behavior that had

controlled them for years suddenly held no attraction. The compulsion was gone. What remained was

peace, clarity, and a renewed capacity to live.

These stories are not presented as a guaranteed formula or a magical technique. They are offered as

evidence that the power of Christ is real, personal, and sufficient. The same Lord who declared, "If the

Son sets you free, you will be free indeed," continues to set captives free today. The purpose of this

volume is to awaken faith, to remove the sense of hopelessness, and to provide clear guidance for those

who wish to seek the same freedom.

Whether you are reading these pages for yourself or for someone you love, approach them with an

open heart. The God who created you has not abandoned you to lifelong struggle. He offers not merely

management of addiction, but genuine release from its power.
