The Fate Of Petals

Calista has spent her entire life surviving. Banished from her birthplace and trapped in the unforgiving district of Sporefull, she learned long ago that humans are treated as little more than unwanted weeds in a world of immortal beauty. The only thing she has ever truly cared about is the home she carved out of the dirt and the one person who kept her alive.

But survival changes overnight when the powerful High Lord Xochiphilli drags her into the dazzling Court of Petals, making her a prisoner in a world of magic, royalty, and dangerous secrets.

Calista wants only one thing: escape.

Then, the impossible happens. An ancient mate mark burns its way onto her skin, binding her to the very immortal ruler who stole her freedom.

Humans and High Lords do not become mates. As whispers of the unnatural bond spread across the twelve Courts of Vire lune, tyrannical rulers demand answers. To them, a human holding a mate bond to a High Lord is an abomination, a glitch in the magic of the land that must be eliminated.

With the High Lords debating her fate and ancient trials waiting to uncover truths no one was meant to survive, Calista must navigate a deadly game of Court trials.

She must find a way to survive the High Courts before they decide her future for her. Because in a realm ruled by magic, some secrets are buried deeper than roots.
