The Dream of Becoming a Dragon: Vietnam's Economy Through Twenty Five Years of Opening and Reform

The Dream of Becoming a Dragon follows Vietnam's transformation through essays written across twenty-five years of opening and reform. Huynh Buu Son examines the strategic logic of openness, market institutions, competition, capital markets, agriculture, industrialization, state-owned and private enterprise, ASEAN and WTO integration, the source-era TPP debate, education, talent, business ethics, entrepreneurship, trust, cooperation, and administrative reform. The book preserves the chronology and policy context of the original Vietnamese edition rather than silently updating its historical examples.
