365 Affirmations of Faith for Autistic Christians and Their Families

If you have picked up this book, you probably know what it feels like to love God with an intensity that other people do not always understand, and you may be autistic yourself, or a parent sitting beside a child whose worship looks different from everyone else's, or a spouse, a sibling, or a church leader who wants to build a faith that fits the people you love. The core claim of this book is simple and life changing, that your autism is not a problem your faith must overcome, and it is the shape through which your faith already lives, because the God who knit you together in your mother's womb also wove your mind, your senses, and your loves into your design.

You will find 365 daily readings, one for every day of the year, and each reading follows the same gentle pattern, a Bible verse, a first person affirmation you can say, whisper, sign, or simply hold in your heart, and a short reflection that connects the verse to the realities of an autistic life. You can start on any date and move at any pace your nervous system can manage, because if you miss a day, a week, or a month, nothing is ruined, and grace is built into the structure of the book. Some days you will read with a clear mind, and some days you will read 3 sentences with a screaming headache, and that will still count, and all of it is prayer.

Inside, you will discover 14 chapters that move from made in God's image to living in hope, affirmations for overloaded days and sensory overwhelm, tools like visual schedules, timers, listening Bibles, and quiet corners, prayers that fit you, including silent prayer and prayer that has no words, and how your special interests can be holy.

You do not come to God in spite of being autistic, and you come to God as exactly who He made you to be. These 365 affirmations are how you interrupt the world's wrong words about you with truth, spoken in your own voice, and repeated truth does its quiet work over the course of a year.
