Four Shades Of Now

Four Shades of Now is a raw, emotionally charged novel that delves into the intersecting lives of four young Black gay men navigating identity, love, trauma, and resilience in modern-day New Jersey. Ryan drowns in alcoholism after a devastating divorce; Ishmael faces the bitter fallout of betrayal; Langston grapples with judgment over his interracial relationship while chasing his dreams as a filmmaker; and Daryl must rebuild his life after surviving a brutal hate crime. As their paths intertwine, what emerges is a powerful story of chosen family, healing, and the transformative strength of brotherhood. With lyrical prose and unflinching honesty, this novel challenges stereotypes and shines a light on the beauty and complexity of Black queer lives.
