The Way of the World

The past shapes our choices, but it does not teach us how to live with them.

The Way of the World is an adult literary fantasy novel that blends philosophical depth with epic storytelling. It follows Cinder, an orphaned boy who arrives at the Arcanum — a vast and unforgiving academy where students compete to unlock the rare ability of transmutation: the power to reshape the very fabric of reality.

As the world beyond the Arcanum edges closer to holy war, Cinder struggles to find his place among rivals driven by ambition, fear, and desperation. But beneath the surface of the institution lies a truth long buried by its founders — a secret that challenges everything he believes about power, purpose, and the nature of the world itself.

When Cinder finally uncovers this truth, he awakens a form of transmutation no one thought possible. Some see him as a saviour. Others fear what he might become. For the power he has uncovered does not merely shape the world — it demands something in return.

As ancient forces stir and war draws near, Cinder is faced with an impossible choice: save humanity, or surrender to the power within him that calls for its end.

Perfect for readers who enjoy immersive worldbuilding, philosophical fantasy, and character-driven stories with high stakes and emotional depth.
