The Shrewd Manager

What if faithfulness requires more than simply being careful with what we have been given?
In The Shrewd Manager, Ezekiel Coal reflects on one of Jesus’ most challenging parables—a story in which a dishonest manager is unexpectedly commended for recognizing the urgency of his situation and acting decisively.
This short Christian reflection considers what the parable reveals about stewardship, wisdom, money, and the temporary things entrusted to us. The manager’s dishonesty is not the lesson. His recognition that the present moment will not last is.
The Shrewd Manager is an invitation to consider what we are doing with what God has placed in our hands—and whether we are living today with eternity in view.
