Christmas morning, 1989.
Two childhood sweethearts, Samantha and Doug, plan to meet and exchange Christmas PJ's. In their young hearts they believe they are destined to be together forever, and this Christmas was going to be extra special now that they have professed their love for each other.

Instead, their love is ripped apart at the seams when Samantha's family unexpectedly moves to another state.

Twelve years later on Christmas Eve a bitter Samantha and a jaded Doug unexpectedly encounter each other. An encounter that sets them on a journey to answer the question once and for all: Is their love truly infinite, or are their hearts meant to be shared with other people?
