Echoes of the Buried Line

Beneath the city's oldest transit line lies a station that was sealed decades ago and never reopened. Commuters passing nearby swear they hear voices rising through the grates at night — murmurs, footsteps, sometimes a scream. When a transit worker vanishes after reporting the sounds, private investigator Lucian Rook and journalist Elara Quinn descend into the tunnels to find out what's really down there. What they uncover isn't a ghost story — it's a criminal network that has used the abandoned platform as a hiding place for years, and the "voices" are the only warning system its victims ever get.
