Policeman Bluejay: Restored Classics to Go Edition

Twinkle and Chubbins tumble from a playful forest wander into a spellbound world where birds talk, fairy magic rules, and danger can turn a child into a creature of the trees. When a thorny imposter called the tuxix traps them and transforms them into half-children, half-skylarks, they must learn the strange laws of bird life with the help of Policeman Bluejay, a good-hearted forest guardian who keeps order with humor, authority, and unexpected kindness. As the children adapt to their new home in a thrush nest high in a maple tree, they meet a lively cast of woodland neighbors, including Wisk the squirrel and Mrs. Hootaway the owl, who teaches that the forest is governed by love. But wonder gives way to terror when hunters and dogs invade, destroying the peace of the woods and exposing the cruelty that threatens even enchanted lives. Rescued by a powerful eagle, Twinkle and Chubbins are carried into the sky, where adventure, refuge, and the promise of the mysterious Paradise of Birds await. This whimsical fairy tale blends natural history, humor, and peril into a tender story of transformation, friendship, and the fragile beauty of the wild. This edition has been fully restored with modern typesetting, custom cover design.
