The Woman in the Loch: The first in an exciting new Scottish unputdownable crime thriller series, perfect for autumn 2026!

'Clear your diary for this original thriller! Yet another corker!... Another absolutely original, gripping thriller by this author who combines the cosy with the deadly!' Amazon Reviewer, 5 stars

When a young woman is found dead, carefully laid out among wildflowers in a remote Highland loch, Detective Sergeant Scott Hansen is sent north to investigate. A city detective out of his depth, Scott quickly learns that in the Highlands, the landscape is as unforgiving as the people are guarded. Here, storms roll in without warning, and secrets run just as deep.

When a couple vanish in brutal weather, walkers discover the body of the missing woman at the foot of Devil's Ridge. Mountain rescuer Jack Mackay and his daughter Bonnie later discover the woman's husband miles away from her; incoherent and barely alive. His location, so far from his wife's body, seems impossible to explain.
As the deaths begin to mount, Scott is drawn into a twisting trail of half-truths and misdirection. In a place where everyone knows everyone, and no one tells the whole story, he must uncover what links the victims before the murderer or the mountain claims another life.

Because in Whistler's Peak, the most dangerous secrets are the ones hidden in plain sight...
