A Monster of Knowledge

Every story leaves a mark. Some leave scars.

Timmy knows there is something wrong with the book.

At first, it is easy to dismiss the strange details—the unsettling passages, the feeling that the words know more than they should, the growing certainty that something is watching from just beyond the page.

Then people begin to disappear.

As Detective De Bakey searches for a connection between a series of increasingly disturbing events, the trail leads toward an old house, a buried history, and a book that seems to be doing far more than telling a story.

Because something has been gathering knowledge.

Something made from stories, memories, fears, and the things people leave behind.

And it is becoming real.

For Timmy, the mystery quickly becomes something far more personal. The deeper he is drawn into the book's world, the harder it becomes to tell where fiction ends and reality begins. Every page reveals another piece of the truth—but every answer comes at a cost.

Some books change the reader.

Some books consume them.

And some stories are hungry enough to crawl off the page.
