Lessons in the Small Catechism of Dr. Martin Luther: Restored Classics to Go Edition

Martin Luther's Small Catechism comes alive here as a compact guide for Christian faith, teaching, and devotion, meant not only for children but for every believer who longs to know God's will. It presents the Bible as the inspired, wholly true "Book of books," given by the Holy Ghost to make sinners wise unto salvation and to lead them to Christ and eternal life. From that foundation, the lessons unfold the Ten Commandments as a call to love God above all things, honor His holy name, keep His Word, and respect father and mother as His representatives. They then move into the heart of the Christian confession: humanity is lost and helpless apart from Christ, but Jesus Christ, true God and true man, has redeemed the world through His holy blood, innocent suffering, death, descent into hell, and bodily resurrection. Believers are brought from bondage under sin, death, and the devil into Christ's gracious kingdom, where they live in thankful obedience and joyful hope of eternal glory.
