COLD WATER, LONG SHADOW

This is the haunting tale of a dreadful secret. In 1974, in an isolated rural shack in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Rose makes a decision that no mother should ever have to make. Saying goodbye to her two young daughters, Harriet and Sharon, on the steps of Westfield Children's Home, she promises to return to collect them. She is never able to keep her promise. When tragedy strikes, Harriet is supported by best friends Sarah and Phillipa, but she spends the next twenty years vowing revenge. Follow Harriet, Sarah and Phillipa to Western Australia as they pursue their careers, never speaking of the tragedy that shaped them. Follow Rose as she and her abusive husband seek riches in a hot, dusty mining town of Western Australia. Struggle with her as she battles her demons. This is a story of friendships, internal conflict, and about the resilience of women. This is a story of love; a mother's love, requited love and love between friends. Here you will share heartbreak, joy and an emotional conclusion that will leave you in tears.
