There's Something I Have To Tell You All...Mommy Has Cancer!
This is the story of a mother in her early thirties whose life is suddenly turned upside down when she is diagnosed with cancer. A wife and mother of three, she finds herself facing a journey she never imagined-one filled with fear, uncertainty, physical changes, and difficult questions about how to explain cancer to the children she loves most.
How do you tell your children that Mommy has cancer? How do you explain why you are suddenly too tired to play, laugh, and do the things you used to do together? How do you help them understand why Mommy's appearance has changed and why some days are harder than others?
As she navigates the challenges of treatment and motherhood, prayer becomes her source of strength. Her faith helps her find courage on the days when she feels weak and hope when the future seems uncertain. Through the tears, difficult conversations, and moments of fear, she learns that being a survivor is about more than overcoming a diagnosis-it is about discovering strength, faith, love, and gratitude in the midst of adversity.
Along the way, she begins to see herself as blessed, highly favored, and a SURVIVOR in more ways than one.
This children's book shines a light on the emotional struggles that mothers and their families can experience when cancer enters their lives. It creates an opportunity for families to have honest, age-appropriate conversations about illness, emotions, change, faith, and hope. Most importantly, it reminds children that even when life changes, love remains constant.
Hearing the words, "You have cancer," can be one of the most frightening moments in a person's life. This story was created to help children and families navigate the emotions that can come with a cancer diagnosis and to remind them that they do not have to face those emotions alone.
My hope is that this book will offer comfort, encouragement, and a sense of hope to families experiencing similar circumstances. Through faith, love, and perseverance, even the most difficult chapters can reveal unexpected strength-and sometimes, a survivor is born long before the battle is over.
