This Chinese Reader provides a foundational overview of India, a large country in Asia with a massive population. The text highlights its diverse geography, featuring the beautiful Himalayas and the sacred Ganges River, where many people bathe. Cultural landmarks like the Taj Mahal in Agra are featured alongside major cities like New Delhi. The story describes Indian daily life, including their love for milk tea, naan, and spicy or sweet dishes. It also notes the country's vibrant traditions, such as Diwali, the festival of lights, and a cultural passion for singing and dancing.

This book is for all Chinese beginners. I tried to include most of the vocabularies used in the story, along with their English meanings. Wherever possible, I tried to make use of simple grammar structures and avoid the more complicated grammar structures. If you are a beginner in the Chinese language, this is the book for you.
