Holy Sinners: Praise to Profits

David, an indigent Christian brother, who pride himself as being holy and righteous, just returned home from the camp ground where he attended the seven days yearly convention of his church. He was tired and hungry due to all the daily and nightly activities he was encumbered with as a church worker during the one-week program. There is no money in his pocket or anywhere else in the house or in the bank and there is not a single food in the house. Angela is a high-class call-girl who chose to live in a low-class neighborhood, in order to save enough money to travel to Canada to join her twin brother, her only living relation. She has special spiritual power – she can tell the future of people through dreams and visions. So, in the past, after preaching the gospel to her a couple of times without success, he kept his distance from her for quite a long time. They only exchanged brief greetings whenever their paths crossed along the corridor or the entrance gate of the compound.

So, for a Christian who strongly believe and practiced “Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers”, David shocked himself to his marrows when, without thinking through his action, he jumped outside to meet Angela, to ask for financial assistance for the first time since they have been neighbors all through the five years they have lived together as the only tenants in that section of the compound. This singular move initiated by David resulted in a far-reaching chain reactions, with twists and turns that changed their lives forever - It took them to places, situations, circumstances and challenges they never imagined possible….
