The Lilian Slip Dress PDF Sewing Pattern by Merchant & Mills is a simple, lightweight slip dress designed to be worn underneath dresses and garments made from sheer or semi-sheer fabrics. It can also be sewn as a comfortable nightdress.
Originally designed to provide extra coverage under lightweight Indian handloom fabrics, Lilian has a clean, easy-to-wear silhouette that works beautifully in soft and lightweight woven fabrics.

Choose lightweight woven fabrics such as:
- Cotton
- Cotton voile
- Cotton poplin

- Cotton double gauze
Avoid fabrics that are too heavy, particularly if you plan to wear Lilian underneath another garment.
Supplies- Matching thread
- 12–17 cm / 5–7" seam tape or fine selvedge
Depending on size and fabric width, approximately 1.5–3.2 m of fabric is required. Please refer to the fabric requirements chart in the product images for the exact amount required for your size and fabric width.
