The Ottoline Jacket PDF Sewing Pattern by Merchant & Mills is a boxy, workwear-inspired jacket featuring distinctive cuff and side seam splits, an inside pocket and classic topstitching details.

The side and sleeve vents are one of Ottoline’s signature design features, but they can also be omitted for a simpler construction. Merchant & Mills includes instructions for making the jacket without these vents, making this version more approachable for intermediate sewists.

This UK 18–28 size range has been specifically drafted with a C/D cup and includes a bust dart for an improved fit. If you fall within the curvier UK size 18 measurements, Merchant & Mills recommends choosing this size range.

For an authentic workwear finish, Merchant & Mills recommends using heavy-duty thread for the topstitching rather than traditional topstitching thread.
