The Clara Dress, Top & Maxi Skirt Sewing Pattern by Maéli Paris is a statement design defined by bold lines, an asymmetrical one-shoulder bodice and a three-panel skirt.

Clara can be sewn as a full dress, standalone top or long skirt. The asymmetric bodice is finished with a distinctive shoulder tie, while the gathered skirt creates movement and volume.

This versatile pattern works especially well in fluid woven fabrics with enough weight to create a beautiful drape. It is also ideal for upcycling vintage curtains, linens and other large-format textiles.

Choose a fluid woven fabric with good drape and enough weight to support the silhouette, around 200–250 gsm.

A fabric that is too light may not provide enough structure, while a very rigid fabric may reduce the movement of the gathered skirt.
