What Is Yarn-Dyed Flannel?

In a yarn-dyed fabric, the individual yarns are dyed before the fabric is woven. The different coloured yarns are then woven together to create the pattern rather than having the design printed onto the finished fabric. This traditional construction gives plaid and checked fabrics their characteristic depth and allows the pattern to remain visible on both sides.

Care Instructions

Machine wash in cold water with like colours. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry. Iron at medium temperature, preferably on the reverse side.

Cotton flannel may shrink during its first wash. We strongly recommend pre-washing and drying your fabric using the same method you intend to use for your finished garment before cutting and sewing.
