The 002 Seifuku Shirt & Skirt Sewing Pattern by CUT/SEW is a Japanese school uniform-inspired sewing pattern designed for cosplay, alternative fashion and Japanese-inspired wardrobes. The pattern includes both the classic sailor-style shirt and coordinating skirt for creating a complete seifuku-inspired outfit.

The shirt can be sewn with short or long sleeves and customized to a cropped or full length. The design is intended to sit at the natural waist, with the standard top length meeting the skirt waistband on most body types.

For the shirt, choose lightweight non-stretch woven fabrics such as:

• Plain-weave cotton
• Linen
• Shirting
• Poplin
• Piqué

For the skirt, CUT/SEW recommends a crisper fabric that will hold the pleats well. Cotton fabrics are an excellent choice.

• 2 spools of 3/8" wide ribbon trim for the collar
• 7" invisible zipper for the skirt
• 1 × 1/2" button for the skirt
• 1/2 yd lightweight fusible interfacing
