This faux fur has a directional pile. Before cutting, determine the direction in which you would like the pile to run and position all pattern pieces consistently. This will help maintain a uniform appearance and sheen throughout the finished garment.
For cleaner cutting, work from the wrong side whenever possible and carefully cut through the backing rather than cutting deeply through the pile. After sewing your seams, gently release any fibres caught in the stitching using a blunt needle or similar tool.
The directional pile and mixed animal design may require additional fabric depending on your sewing pattern and desired motif placement. We recommend considering this when calculating your required yardage.
