A beautiful wool-rich coating fabric in a warm golden ochre shade, made with 70% wool and 30% mixed fibres. Its softly brushed surface gives the fabric a smooth, cosy hand and subtly diffuses the underlying weave for a refined woolen appearance.

At a substantial 442 gsm, this is a true heavyweight coating fabric with excellent body and structure. The high wool content provides the warmth and character associated with wool outerwear, while the fabric retains enough drape to fall into smooth, substantial folds rather than appearing overly rigid.

The golden ochre colour sits beautifully between mustard, ochre and warm camel brown. It has an earthy golden depth that makes it especially suited to fall and winter garments while remaining distinctive enough for a statement coat or jacket.

With its combination of substantial weight, softly brushed texture and structured drape, this wool blend is particularly well suited to coats, jackets, capes and other cold-weather outerwear where warmth, body and a polished silhouette are desired.

Sewing Tip: The brushed surface may have a subtle directional nap, so cut all pattern pieces in the same direction for a consistent finished appearance. At 442 gsm, choose patterns suitable for heavyweight coating fabrics and consider grading or trimming bulky seam allowances. A garment lining is recommended for coats and jackets for comfort, ease of dressing and a polished interior finish.

Please note that colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings and lighting conditions.
