Wrap yourself in warmth with this beautifully soft plaid sherpa fleece fabric by Katia Fabrics. Featuring a plush, fluffy surface inspired by the cosy texture of shearling, this fabric combines exceptional softness with a bold plaid design for warm and comfortable fall and winter sewing projects.

At 250 gsm, this sherpa offers a cosy feel without being excessively heavy. Its soft pile adds warmth and texture, making it particularly well suited to jackets, overshirts, vests, cosy accessories and children's outerwear. It can also be used as a warm lining for jackets and coats.

Available in two distinctive colourways: Forest Plaid, featuring a deep forest green ground accented with navy, black and subtle neutral lines, and Autumn Plaid, combining warm camel, cream and grey with contrasting purple plaid lines.

The generous 150 cm width makes this fabric practical for larger garment pieces, while its plush surface creates a warm, textured finish. A beautiful choice for casual outerwear and cosy pieces designed for cooler weather.

  • Avoid stitching directly through the pile when possible, as the plush surface can make feeding the fabric more difficult
  • If using a serger, adjust the differential feed as needed to prevent the fabric from stretching
