Carvico Alicante Performance Mesh

Carvico Alicante is an ultra-lightweight Italian stretch mesh fabric designed for performance garments, swimwear, activewear, lingerie and apparel. Its fine bi-elastic mesh construction follows the body's movements while providing excellent comfort and flexibility.

At only 60–65 gsm, Alicante is extremely lightweight, soft and thin, making it especially well suited to projects where you want the flexibility and breathability of mesh without the stiffness of a traditional net fabric.

The fabric can be used throughout a garment or strategically as a stretch mesh insert, panel, lining or decorative detail.

Sewing Recommendations

For best results, use a stretch or ballpoint needle and a stretch-compatible stitch or serger. Because Alicante is lightweight and highly elastic, handle the fabric gently while cutting and avoid stretching it while sewing.

Care Instructions

Hand wash in cold water and hang to dry. If ironing is necessary, use a low temperature with a pressing cloth between the fabric and the iron.

We recommend pre-washing your fabric the same way you intend to wash the finished garment.
