The 101 Trouser PDF sewing pattern by Merchant & Mills is an easy drawstring trouser pattern with a comfortable waist, practical side pockets and a false fly. Three versatile versions are included: cropped tapered trousers, full-length wide straight trousers and shorts.

Designed for beginner sewists, the 101 Trousers are simple to construct and easy to wear. Choose linen or TENCEL™ blends for a soft, fluid silhouette, lightweight denim or chambray for an everyday look, or fine corduroy and wool for cooler seasons.

All seam allowances are 1.5 cm (⅝") unless otherwise stated and are included in the pattern.

Soft, fluid fabrics create relaxed trousers with beautiful drape, while chambray, lightweight denim and corduroy offer a slightly more structured silhouette.
