The 160 Hawaiian Mu'umu'u sewing pattern by Folkwear features three versions of the traditional Hawaiian mu'umu'u, a loose and breezy dress designed for comfort, movement and warm-weather wear.

All three views feature flattering princess seams, side darts with cleverly hidden optional pockets, a smooth crew-neck front yoke and a gathered back that falls from a pointed yoke. An optional interior elastic shaping belt can be added to the front for a more defined silhouette.

Choose between three sleeve options: View A is sleeveless, View B features longer sleeves that fall below the elbow with elastic at the cuffs, and View C features short, wide bell-shaped sleeves.

Traditionally made in colourful cotton fabrics featuring tropical florals or Hawaiian motifs, the mu'umu'u can also be beautifully sewn in linen, rayon, silk, ikat, batik, chambray, double gauze and other light to medium-weight woven fabrics.

The pattern also includes historical and cultural information about the origins and evolution of the Hawaiian mu'umu'u.
